<p><b>Primary Headaches &#8211; </b>These headaches include migraine, cluster and tension headaches.</p>

<li>The most common type of headache is tension headaches. Around 90% of adults have already had or will have this type of headache according to studies. These headaches are more common in women than in men</li>
<li>Migraine headache stands second in terms of commonality. This type of primary headache affects both children as well as adults. Before puberty, both the boys and girls suffer from this type of pain while after puberty girls are more likely to have this kind of headache</li>
<li>The rare type of primary headache is cluster headaches. Though the conditions vary, yet there is a prolonged appearance of it for several days or even months. The pain is severe and hurting</li>

The causes of these headaches make them different from other ones. These can range from bleeding in the brain, meningitis, encephalitis or to tumor.</p>
<p><b>Cranial Neuralgias and other Headaches &#8211; </b>Neuralgia means the pain of the nerve. Cranial neuralgia thus refers to a group of headaches when nerves in the head and upper neck become inflamed causing pain in the head. Facial pains as well as a variety of other causes are included in this classification of headaches.</p>
